Use of personal data

This policy describes the information we collect from you, how we use that information and the legal basis on which we do so. The user of the site and the customer is informed of the regulations concerning marketing communication, the law of June 21, 2014 for confidence in the Digital Economy, the Data Protection Act of August 06, 2004 as well as the General Data Protection Regulation (RGPD: n° 2016-679).

This Privacy Policy also covers whether (and, if so, how) this information may be shared and your rights and choices regarding the information you provide to us.

This Privacy Policy applies to information we obtain through your use of the teinturesauvage.fr website, including its subdomains boutique.teinturesauvage.fr.

Generally speaking, I’m not interested in your personal data. As described in the following paragraphs, all data collected is strictly necessary for the proper administration of the site and/or the processing of your requests or orders.

For this reason, your consent to the use of cookies is not collected on the teinturesauvage.fr site and its sub-domains, in accordance with the recommendations of the CNIL (see 3. below).

1. Persons responsible for the collection of personal data

Teinture Sauvage is a natural and ecological plant dyeing company.

2. Purpose of data collected

In order to provide you with the best possible experience on our websites, we need to collect and process certain information. Depending on your use of the services, this may be :

  • Contacting us by e-mail: for example, when you request support, send us questions or comments, or report a problem, we collect your name, e-mail address and message. We use this data only to respond to the requests we receive.
  • Data relating to your use of the site When you visit our site, we store: the website from which you visited us, the parts of our site you visited, the date and duration of your visit, information about the device (type of device, operating system, screen resolution, language, country you are in and type of web browser) you used during your visit, and so on. We process this usage data with Cabin for statistical purposes, to improve our site and to recognize and stop any misuse. Cabin is an ethical alternative to Google analytics.
  • Cookies : we use cookies (small data files transferred to computers or devices by sites) for record-keeping purposes and to improve the functionality of our site. You can disable or restrict the transmission of cookies by modifying your web browser settings. Cookies that have already been stored can be deleted at any time.
  • Creating an account: when you purchase a physical or digital product, leave a comment on a product or sign up for our newsletter, we ask you to provide us with information such as your name, e-mail address, postal address and telephone number. As stated in this privacy policy, we will only process this information to provide you with the service you have subscribed to.

None of this data will be transferred or sold to a third party. They are hosted on a server in Zurich, Switzerland.

3. Refusal to monitor website

To measure your use of the site with a view to improving it, we use the services of Cabin.

Cabin is designed with privacy in mind. It is impossible for anyone (Cabin or Teinture Sauvage) to identify an individual visitor because of the way data is collected and stored. Visitor data is 100% anonymous and complies with all applicable privacy laws worldwide. IP addresses, unique identifiers and browser fingerprints are never stored.

Anonymity is built into Cabin; not only through end-to-end encryption, but also through the design of this unique data model, which complies with all global privacy laws.

In accordance with CNIL recommendations, this solution falls within the scope of exemption from the requirement to obtain consent, provided that the following measures are strictly necessary for the proper administration of a site:

  • audience measurement, page by page ;
  • the list of pages from which a link has been followed to request the current page (sometimes called a “referrer”), whether internal or external to the site, by page and aggregated on a daily basis;
  • type of terminal, browser and screen size of visitors, per page and aggregated on a daily basis;
  • Page load time statistics, by page and aggregated hourly;
  • statistics on time spent on each page, bounce rate, scroll depth, per page and aggregated on a daily basis;
  • statistics on user actions (click, selection), by page and aggregated on a daily basis;
  • statistics on the geographic origin of requests, by page and aggregated on a daily basis.

This is why your consent to the use of cookies is not required on the teinturesauvage.fr site and its sub-domains, as all data collected is strictly necessary for the proper administration of the site and/or the processing of your requests or orders.

You can always refuse to be tracked by Cabin by following the procedure below:

  1. Open your browser’s development tools: with Chrome, Safari, Brave or Opera… ⌘+⌥+I on Mac and Ctrl+Shift+I on Windows and with Firefox or Edge, ⌘+Shift+J on Mac and Ctrl+Shift+J on Windows.

  3. To restore anonymous tracking, enter cabin.blockMe(false) or clear the cache.

In the event of refusal, you are warned that the site may not function properly and that it may not be possible to place an order.

4. Your rights: right of access, rectification and opposition

In accordance with current European regulations, users of the site have the following rights:

  • right of access (Article 15 RGPD) and rectification (Article 16 RGPD), updating, completeness of Users’ data right to block or delete Users’ personal data (Article 17 RGPD), when they are inaccurate, incomplete, equivocal, outdated, or whose collection, use, communication or storage is prohibited,
  • right to withdraw consent at any time (Article 13-2c RGPD) (see point 3 above),
  • right to limit the processing of Users’ data (Article 18 RGPD),
  • right to object to the processing of Users’ data (Article 21 RGPD),
  • right to portability of data provided by Users, where such data is subject to automated processing based on their consent or on a contract (Article 20 RGPD),
  • the right to define the fate of Users’ data after their death and to choose to whom teinturesauvage.fr and/or its sub-domains shall communicate (or not) their data to a third party designated by them.

As soon as the site becomes aware of a User’s death, and in the absence of any instructions from the User, the site undertakes to destroy the User’s data, unless it needs to be kept for evidentiary purposes or to comply with a legal obligation.
